About us

HOW AUSONIA CAME TO BE

Ausonia Pizza Bar is the concretization of the project of two young guys, full of dreams and eager to realize their ideas.

This pizzeria was born from the desire to make known the authentic flavors of Campania beyond the Italian borders, wich boasts one of the oldest culinary traditions; and also to make all compatriots who live in Ibiza feel at home.

Continuing the family tradition and intertweaving the teachings transmitted by the parents; and with the experience gained after having travelled a bit the world, these guys fell in love with Ibiza and give life to Ausonia Pizza Bar, which opens its doors on December 8^th , 2016.

This is a very special date, because on the same day in 1990 the first family pizzeria was opened in a small town in Southern Italy.

AUSONIA “Ausoni’s Land”

Ausonia is the ancient name of Campania, used in Roman times by the latin poets to indicate a Southern Italian Region.

We chose it in honor of this beautiful land where the Pizza was born, as well as the simbol of the seahorse, emblem of Salerno.

Nowadays Ausonia Pizza Bar welcomes its 6º season in Ibiza and in addition to being among the favorite restaurants of the residents of Cala de Bou, it boasts various excellence certificates on online travel platforms.
